Neck pain can present suddenly (acute low back pain) or be present for over 3 months duration (chronic low back pain).
Common locations
- At the top of the neck under the skull line
- At the base of the neck near to cervical prominence
- From the top to neck on one side, down to the shoulder,.
- Both sides of the neck down to both shoulders
- Referring to the arm – aches or shooting pain.
- Numbness or tingling in the arm, forearm or hands
- Jaw pain, headaches, dizziness, eye or ear symptoms.
